We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong backend focus, full-stack capabilities, and hands-on experience integrating AI into real production systems.

This is a senior, hands-on engineering position for someone capable of taking a problem from a half-formed business idea to a running production system.

You will receive requirements that may initially be vague or incomplete. We expect you to understand the actual business problem, clarify requirements, propose the technical design and testing use cases, evaluate trade-offs, make technical decisions, build the solution, release it, and support it once it is in production.

The role is approximately 60% backend and 40% frontend, with Python as the main backend technology and React as the preferred frontend technology.

AI is an important part of the position, but this is not an AI experimentation or prompt-engineering role. You will integrate AI models into real software products and production environments.

What You'll Do

• Take ambiguous or high-level business requirements and transform them into clear technical proposals.
• Understand the underlying problem rather than simply implementing predefined tasks.
• Design solutions and define appropriate testing use cases.

• Work primarily on backend engineering challenges, while also contributing regularly to frontend development.

• Work on AI orchestration, high-throughput workloads and workload management.
• Design AI-enabled solutions capable of operating reliably at scale.
• Collaborate directly with architects, senior engineers, product teams and business stakeholders.
• Use AI as a productivity tool while critically reviewing generated outputs before they reach production.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of professional Software Engineering experience.
• Strong backend engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Python and AI.
• At least 2 years of frontend development experience, ideally with React.
• Experience delivering and supporting projects across more than one production environment.
• Ability to work independently without requiring heavy mentorship.
• Experience taking technical solutions from initial concept through development, release and production support.

It is not primarily focused on:

• Isolated AI experimentation.
• Prompt engineering as a primary responsibility.
• Working exclusively from predefined tickets or fully specified requirements.

We are looking for someone who combines strong capabilities across backend engineering, frontend development, infrastructure awareness and production AI integration.

You will work 100% remotely from wherever you decide. Sometimes you may have face-to-face meetings and for that reason you have to reside in Spain or in the European Union.
