Senior IBM ITX Integration Specialist – Payments & Financial Messaging

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior IBM Sterling Transformation Extender (ITX) Integration Specialist to participate in a strategic EAI Payment Services initiative for a leading global universal bank.

The role is focused on the design, development and support of complex message transformation solutions within the bank's enterprise integration landscape.

IBM Sterling Transformation Extender is used as a transformation engine integrated with IBM App Connect Enterprise. You will work extensively with payment message transformation, SWIFT and SEPA mappings, ISO 20022 formats, host-to-host integrations and financial message processing.

This is a highly specialized position requiring strong hands-on IBM ITX experience and deep knowledge of payment messaging standards.

Main Responsibilities

ITX Development

• Design and develop IBM ITX maps.

• Build complex message transformation solutions.

• Create mappings between payment standards and internal formats.

• Work with SWIFT MT messages.

• Work with ISO 20022 / MX messages.

• Work with SEPA payment formats.

• Develop XML, CSV and flat-file transformations.

• Support the implementation of new integration services.

Production Support

• Troubleshoot ITX mapping issues.

• Support production incidents.

• Perform Root Cause Analysis.

• Optimize transformation performance.

• Identify and resolve mapping-related defects.

Integration Activities

• Integrate IBM ITX with IBM App Connect Enterprise.

• Work with IBM MQ-based messaging solutions.

• Support DB2 integration.

• Participate in Jenkins-driven deployment processes.

• Work within a GitHub-based development environment.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience with IBM Sterling Transformation Extender (ITX).

• Strong hands-on experience with SWIFT MT messages.

• ISO 20022 / MX messages.

• SEPA payment formats.

• XML transformations.

• CSV transformations.

• Flat-file transformations.

• Message mapping.

• Business-fluent English.

Project Conditions

• Contract duration: until 31 December 2028, with an extension option.

• Location: Düsseldorf, Germany.

• Hybrid working model: approximately 70% remote / 30% on-site.

• On-site presence: approximately 6 days per month in Düsseldorf.

• Candidates from across Europe can be considered.

• Business-fluent English is mandatory.

• German is not required.

You will work mainly remotely, combined with regular on-site presence in Düsseldorf as required by this project.
