Job Description
As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of enterprise Azure environments. You will be responsible for monitoring cloud infrastructure, optimizing performance and costs, supporting cloud governance, and implementing automation to improve operational efficiency.
Working closely with Cloud IT teams, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders, you will ensure that Azure services are secure, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices while supporting ongoing cloud transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain Azure cloud environments to ensure high availability, performance, and operational stability.
- Perform regular cloud operations, including:
- Azure monitoring
- Compliance reviews
- Resource sizing optimization
- Cost optimization and advisory
- Azure consumption reporting
- Security score monitoring and follow-up
- Collaborate with Cloud IT teams to ensure the efficient operation and continuous improvement of Azure infrastructure.
- Design and implement automation solutions using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Support Azure DevOps processes and operational workflows.
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams and business stakeholders.
- Ensure Azure environments comply with organizational standards, security policies, and best practices.
- Participate in cloud migration, optimization, and infrastructure enhancement projects.
- Document operational procedures, technical configurations, and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, scalability, and operational excellence.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Cloud Operations, or Azure Infrastructure roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
- Experience working with Jira Service Management.
- Solid understanding of cloud computing principles and Azure architecture.
- Experience with scripting and automation using tools such as:
- Terraform
- Python
- PowerShell or equivalent scripting languages
- Experience with cloud monitoring and logging solutions.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as within cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
- English Level: C1 (Mandatory).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
- Understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Microsoft Azure certifications are highly valued, including:
- AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
- AZ-104: Azure Administrator Associate
- AZ-204: Azure Developer Associate
