Job Description

As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and support of a large-scale Azure cloud environment supporting critical financial services applications.

Working closely with cloud governance teams, application owners, and DevOps engineers, you will monitor cloud infrastructure, troubleshoot technical issues, manage identity and access configurations, support cloud cost governance, and ensure platform reliability through proactive monitoring and continuous improvement.

This position requires a balance of strong technical expertise and excellent stakeholder management, as you will frequently bridge the gap between cloud engineering teams and business application owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the operational stability of enterprise Azure cloud environments.
• Perform daily alert monitoring, incident triage, and issue prioritization using Azure monitoring tools and Atlassian platforms.
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure issues related to networking, Application Gateway, API Management, storage accounts, and cloud connectivity.
• Manage the lifecycle of identities, secrets, certificates, and access configurations using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
• Configure and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO) for enterprise applications.
• Provision and configure new Azure environments, including subscriptions, repositories, and cloud resources.
• Support Azure DevOps processes and deployment activities.
• Monitor Azure subscription budgets and collaborate with cloud governance teams on cost optimization initiatives.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base articles.
• Collaborate with business application owners to resolve cloud-related issues and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure cloud environments follow security, governance, and operational best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud Engineering, Cloud Operations, or DevOps.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services, including:
  • Azure Portal
  • Azure Key Vault
  • Application Gateway
  • Storage Accounts
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD processes.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), including:
  • App Registrations
  • Enterprise Applications
  • Single Sign-On (SSO)
  • Identity and Access Management
• Experience using Azure Monitor, dashboards, and cloud monitoring solutions.
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and collaboration platforms including Microsoft Teams.
• Knowledge of scripting using Bash and basic Python.
• Experience working with Microsoft Graph API.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud infrastructure, networking, APIs, and application services.
• Experience supporting cloud governance, operational processes, and cost management.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• English Level: C1 (Mandatory).

Nice to Have

• Experience working within financial services or highly regulated industries.
• Knowledge of cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud or enterprise-scale Azure environments.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep).
• Microsoft Azure certifications such as:
  • Azure Administrator Associate
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
• Experience with automation and cloud optimization initiatives.
