About the Role
As a Data Engineer , you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations, optimization, and evolution of an enterprise-level Azure Databricks-based data platform . You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain reliable and scalable cloud data environments while implementing new data products and platform enhancements.
This position is ideal for someone passionate about cloud technologies, data engineering best practices, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in modern data ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the Azure Databricks platform remains stable, secure, monitored, and production-ready
- Manage day-to-day operations and support of the cloud data platform
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and data processing workflows
- Deliver targeted platform enhancements, including:
- New interfaces and integrations
- New data products and datasets
- Performance and reliability improvements
- Monitor platform performance, availability, and security compliance
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and data-related issues
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders
- Implement best practices for data governance, scalability, and operational efficiency
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and platform modernization efforts
- Maintain technical documentation and operational standards
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
- Solid expertise in Azure Databricks
- Experience managing production-grade cloud data platforms
- Strong knowledge of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and distributed data processing
- Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and platform support activities
- Understanding of cloud security, performance optimization, and operational best practices
- Experience working with SQL and big data technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- English level: C1 (Advanced)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or related Azure data services
- Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices within data environments
- Experience with Python, Spark, or Scala
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Azure certifications related to Data Engineering or Cloud
