We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Leader with deep knowledge of settlement, reconciliation, and payment dispersion processes within digital payment ecosystems.
The selected professional will act as the technical reference for a backend development team responsible for implementing and evolving payment management capabilities within a PSP platform operating in the Spanish market.
This role requires expertise in payment flows between PSPs, merchants, acquirers, and RedSys, combined with strong leadership, agile team management, and modern backend architecture experience.
You will collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance payment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a backend development team using agile methodologies and self-organized team frameworks.
- Analyze requirements, define project scope, and provide accurate technical estimations.
- Identify technical risks and define mitigation strategies.
- Drive task prioritization and ensure timely project delivery.
- Participate in team performance evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as the technical point of reference for payment settlement and reconciliation processes.
- Design and oversee scalable backend solutions based on:
- REST architectures
- Cloud microservices
- Java enterprise applications
- Collaborate with Product teams to implement business requirements within the client PSP ecosystem.
- Ensure high standards in code quality, architecture, scalability, and security.
- Manage KPIs and project tracking through tools such as JIRA.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
