Cloud Engineer (AWS) – FinOps & Cost Optimization
Key Responsibilities
- Support monitoring and FinOps activities within AWS environments
- Collect and consolidate cost data from multiple cloud infrastructure and service sources
- Perform cost analysis to identify inefficiencies and optimization opportunities
- Generate detailed cloud spending reports and insights
- Define and implement cost alerts and budget controls
- Propose and execute cost optimization strategies across cloud resources
Candidate Profile
Experience & Background
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role
- Hands-on experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience in cloud cost management and FinOps practices
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure and service billing models
Technical Skills
- Cloud Platform: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Cost Explorer, CloudWatch, etc.)
- FinOps & Cost Management: Cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, optimization
- Monitoring & Reporting: CloudWatch, dashboards, reporting tools
- Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and decision-making
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Good communication skills for presenting cost insights
