3D Frontend Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and passionate 3D Frontend Developer to create immersive web experiences. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing high-performance 3D applications and environments, working closely with designers and artists to deliver interactive, high-quality user experiences.

Responsibilities

• 3D Application Development and Maintenance: Develop, implement, and maintain high-performance web 3D applications using Babylon.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• 3D Asset Integration: Collaborate with designers and artists to integrate 3D models, textures, animations, and other assets into web applications.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize 3D scenes, models, and assets to ensure efficient rendering and smooth performance across different devices and browsers (desktop and mobile).
• Interactivity and UI: Implement interactive features, user interfaces, and animations within 3D environments to enhance user engagement.
• Technical Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to 3D rendering, graphics, and performance bottlenecks.
• Best Development Practices: Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical discussions, and maintain clean, well-documented code.
• Optional Backend Integration: When applicable, integrate 3D experiences with backend systems and APIs for dynamic functionality.

Requirements

• Strong experience with React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Solid experience in web 3D development, preferably with Babylon.js (experience with other web 3D engines such as Three.js is a plus).
• Knowledge in optimizing 3D scenes and assets to improve performance.
• Experience working with animations, textures, and 3D models in interactive environments.
• Ability to solve complex technical issues related to graphics and performance.
• Familiarity with software development best practices: version control (Git), documentation, and team collaboration.
• Fluent English is required, both written and spoken.
• Experience working in international and multicultural teams.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous, or chaotic environments, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating 3D applications with APIs and backend systems.
• Knowledge of advanced lighting, shading, and visual effects in 3D.

About the Projects

You will work 100% remotely from wherever you choose. Occasionally, there may be in-person meetings, which is why it's necessary to reside in Spain or the European Union.

You will participate in projects for a leading digital transformation company with a strong focus on technology and innovation, in sectors such as banking (35 of the world's top banks work with our client), insurance, industrial, and automotive, within Big Data, Blockchain, AI, Cloud initiatives, among others.
