About the Role

As a Senior Quality Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test strategies across our full technology stack. You'll work closely with development teams to ensure the highest quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated testing solutions across multiple layers (frontend, backend, and API)
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using Cypress, Selenium, and other modern testing tools
• Create and execute API tests using REST Assured and related frameworks
• Build robust test suites using Protractor, Jasmine, and Node.js
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices
• Mentor junior team members on automation best practices
• Ensure test coverage meets quality standards and business requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in QA automation with multi-layer testing approaches
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript programming
• Hands-on experience with Cypress and Selenium for frontend testing
• Expertise in API testing frameworks (REST Assured or similar)
• Experience with Jasmine, Protractor, and Node.js
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• English proficiency: B2 level minimum (required for daily communication)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Nice to Have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests
• Knowledge of performance testing tools
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

You will work 100% remotely from wherever you decide. Sometimes you may have face-to-face meetings and for that reason you have to reside in Spain or in the European Union.

You will work on projects with a leading company in digital transformation with a passion for technology and innovation in sectors such as banking (35 of the main banks worldwide work with our client), insurance, industrial and automotive in Big Data projects, Blockchain, AI, Cloud, among others.
