Job Description:

As a Test Engineer , you will be responsible for designing and executing test strategies across various phases of data migration. You'll validate data accuracy, integrity, and performance across systems using a combination of manual and automated methods. Your strong collaboration with engineering and data teams will help resolve defects quickly and maintain high quality throughout the migration lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement test plans for pre-, during, and post-migration phases .

• Validate data accuracy using checksum , row count , and SQL-based comparison techniques.

• Perform ETL verification and ensure pipeline dependencies operate as expected.

• Conduct performance testing with Query Performance Insight or native Snowflake tools .

• Collaborate with engineering and data teams to identify, triage, and resolve defects.

• Maintain clear and consistent documentation of test results , issues, and resolutions.

• Ensure data security and access controls are preserved post-migration.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in testing, especially in data migration projects .

• Hands-on experience with SQL , data warehouse concepts , and ETL processes .

• Proficiency in Snowflake , Azure Synapse , and Azure Data Factory (ADF) .

• Experience using automated testing tools like NP Tester or similar frameworks.

• Knowledge of dimensional modeling and pipeline orchestration .

• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Ability to manually validate data transformations and trace lineage across systems.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in performance tuning and query optimization .

• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python for test automation.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices .

You will work 100% remotely from wherever you decide. Sometimes you may have face-to-face meetings and for that reason you have to reside in Spain or in the European Union.
