Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of hybrid cloud backend services across edge and native cloud environments.

• Contribute to the design and implementation of internal tooling and shared libraries .

• Design and build new cloud service features , APIs, and scalable architectures.

• Work closely with architects, engineering managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on requirements, dependencies , and development timelines .

• Actively participate in the code review process , project estimates , and technical decision-making .

• Mentor junior team members and promote a collaborative, pragmatic engineering culture.

• Engage in hiring activities and help grow the technical team.

• Collaborate on defining cloud architecture standards and identifying best practices.

• Improve and maintain existing cloud services and ensure smooth operation in production environments.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud-based software development .

• Strong proficiency in Python and Golang .

• Bonus experience in Java, C/C++, Node.js, or TypeScript .

• Solid experience with API design and development , including gRPC , OpenAPI , and code generation (API-first approach).

• Practical knowledge of event-driven architecture and modern messaging systems (eg Kafka ).

• Background in shared tooling , internal libraries , and developer productivity tools.

• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills .

• Exposure to IoT , robotics , or AI training/inference pipelines is a plus.

• Hands-on mindset: proactive, action-oriented, and focused on delivering real solutions.

You will work 100% remotely from wherever you decide. Sometimes you may have face-to-face meetings and for that reason you have to reside in Spain or in the European Union.

You will work on projects with a leading company in digital transformation with a passion for technology and innovation in sectors such as banking (35 of the main banks worldwide work with our client), insurance, industrial and automotive in Big Data projects, Blockchain, AI, Cloud, among others.
