Job Description:

As a Senior Technical Analyst, you will lead the analysis, design, and development of solutions in mainframe environments. You’ll be directly involved in projects focused on debit/credit card lifecycle management, integration with Redsys, and PRICE protocol operations (batch and online). You’ll provide technical leadership and collaborate with developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to ensure solutions are performant, secure, and aligned with business needs.

You must be highly skilled in native CICS development, MVS environments, and capable of working hands-on when necessary. Experience in DevOps, cryptographic key processes, and tools for documentation and QA is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze user and business requirements and define efficient technical solutions

  • Design and document mainframe application architecture, components, flows, and use cases

  • Develop and support applications using COBOL, CICS (native), DB2, and JCL

  • Work with card lifecycle systems (issuer/acquirer), PRICE protocols, Redsys interfaces, and Bizum

  • Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams throughout the SDLC

  • Lead or participate in code reviews, HLA analysis, and test planning

  • Document architecture, technical specifications, and maintain traceability

  • Support DevOps initiatives and ensure post-deployment stability and maintainability

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, business units, and external vendors

  • Plan technical tasks, identify risks, resolve issues, and deliver under tight deadlines

  • Apply Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software incrementally

  • Optionally act as Scrum Master or contribute to project planning and budget monitoring

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Telecommunications or similar

  • 5+ years of experience in similar technical analyst roles

  • Expert in COBOL, native CICS (non-architectural), DB2, JCL, and MVS environment

  • Deep knowledge of banking card products, authorization engines, and protocols (PRICE, Bizum, Redsys)

  • Familiar with cryptographic processes (AES, MAC, key generation)

  • Experience in analysis and enhancement of legacy applications

  • Strong skills in documenting solutions: architecture diagrams, technical flows, use cases

  • Good understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns

  • DevOps mindset and familiarity with QA/testing tools

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • English: B2 level (spoken and written) – required for international team interaction

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SIA authorization applications (Getronics)

  • Previous role as Scrum Master or experience across the full SDLC

  • Ability to lead complex deployments and post-go-live support
