Job Description:

As a Technical Analyst in our Mainframe team, you will be responsible for translating user requirements into technical specifications, supporting development teams, and ensuring robust testing and smooth production launches. This role requires a hands-on expert who can create detailed designs, lead testing cycles, and coordinate with international teams, especially with counterparts in Pune and other global locations.

You will act as the key technical reference point for the mainframe development cycle, occasionally participating in coding but primarily focusing on technical analysis, test planning, and implementation support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical designs

• Create and document technical specifications for development teams

• Support developers during implementation and troubleshoot technical issues

• Design and execute test strategies and test cases autonomously

• Oversee and ensure smooth production launches and follow-up support

• Collaborate effectively with international teams, particularly in Pune

• Maintain clear and professional communication with end users and stakeholders

Required Experience & Skills:

• At least 3 years of experience in Mainframe technologies: COBOL, CICS, DB2

• Proven experience in technical analysis, documentation, and support

• Strong capability to design test strategies and perform full test cycles

• Hands-on experience with production deployment and follow-up processes

• Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written – B2 level or higher)

• Ability to work in global, multicultural environments and collaborate across time zones

• Self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and proactive in resolving issues

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role is highly desirable

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and multinational project environments

• Previous experience in the banking or financial sector is a plus
