Job Description:

As a Senior AWS Cloud Architect, you will be part of the Global CISO team, leading the design and governance of cloud security architecture across Amazon Web Services (AWS). Your primary responsibility is to create and implement secure IaaS and PaaS environments that comply with internal policies and international standards such as ISO 27001 and GDPR.

You’ll define and establish services using IAM and Service Control Policies (SCP) while ensuring high availability, scalability, and operational excellence. Your role involves close collaboration with security, development, and cloud operations teams, providing technical leadership and guidance on secure cloud adoption and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud architectures on AWS aligned with business and security requirements

• Lead the setup and governance of AWS services using IAM, SCP, and other security-focused components

• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and corporate policies across all AWS environments

• Build and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions

• Collaborate with central teams on the governance of AWS accounts and services at the enterprise level

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring across multidisciplinary teams

• Promote best practices for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation

Key Competencies:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering, with a focus on AWS

• Expertise in core AWS services: EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS

• In-depth knowledge of cloud security, compliance frameworks, and auditability

• Experience building resilient, scalable, and secure environments

• Strong understanding of IaaS/PaaS models, with an emphasis on automation and efficiency

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across global teams

• English proficiency: B2 level or higher

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

• AWS Certified Security – Specialty

• Certifications in system/information security

• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines

You will work 100% remotely from wherever you decide. Sometimes you may have face-to-face meetings and for that reason you have to reside in Spain or in the European Union.
