Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and proactive Backend/Middleware Developer to join a dynamic team on a high-impact biometric authentication project. The goal is to implement user verification solutions through facial recognition, fingerprint scanning, and other methods as required by the client.
You will collaborate with the project’s lead architect to integrate biometric APIs and libraries, ensuring seamless performance and high system reliability.
Integrate biometric libraries and APIs (e.g., facial recognition, fingerprint, Veridas, etc.)
Collaborate with the architecture team to ensure alignment with system requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues efficiently
Ensure performance, stability, and security of the authentication solutions
Stay proactive and show initiative in improving solutions and addressing potential risks
3+ years of experience as a Backend or Middleware Developer
Strong Java programming skills
Experience in biometric technologies (preferred: Veridas or similar)
Ability to analyze, investigate, and resolve issues independently
High motivation and interest in emerging technologies and biometric security
Location: Remote/Hybrid (based on project needs)
Availability: Immediate or short notice preferred
Language: English proficiency not mandatory

You will work 100% remotely from wherever you decide. Sometimes you may have face-to-face meetings and for that reason you have to reside in Spain or in the European Union.
